Thea’s updates

I SO need to update this blog and I’d better do it before Thea wakes up this morning!

Alright, let’s start with little Thea, whom isn’t so little anymore.

1. Thea still sleeps on our bed and wakes up 2-3 times for milk/diaper change. It’s so tiring it’s not funny.

2. People say as the littles ones grow taller, they’ll lose their baby fat. Not so true for darling Thea, who still has super chubby munchable cheeks (yes, mummy munches on them from time to time annoying her like crazy). When stripped bare to shower, dear friends Esther & Wen were amazed with her protruding belly and chubby limbs.

3. For MONTHS she cheekily refused to call me “mama”, even when we knew for a fact that she knew that I AM her mama, and she knows how to articulate that word very well. Why? During her 3 day ordeal at the hospital last year, she yelled “mama bao bao!” whenever she’s pinned down to the examination bed at the doc’s. So the drill goes like this:

Anybody: Thea, call mama.

Thea: Papaaaaaaaaaa (in happy sing song tone) hahaaaa…. *smiles*

She can do this repetitively for a long time if you keep asking her to call mama. =.=

Imagine this. Thea learned how to say “yeh yeh” for grandpa and “gu gu” for aunt in less than a week when her grandparents were here for a visit, but refuses to call her grandmother “ah ma” because it has the “ma” resemblance. =.=

BUT, with little Eitan’s visit to Dubai last week, we were hoping that Eitan would influence Thea to call mama, and she did! Somehow she found the joy in YELLING (yes, yelling) MAMA in a pitchy voice incessantly a few rounds in a day now. Ahhh be sure of what you hope and wish for.

4. She is fierce. Yes, she is. She yells, a lot. She doesn’t get what she wants and she yells. In public she will yell, refuse to walk, sit on the floor (yes, at malls too), and start to kick. =.= Sometimes the sequence defer a little. She yells, stomps her feet THEN sit down.

5. My fav moment is when I kneel down and open up my arms, she will squeal, laugh and run right into my open arms, throw her arms around my neck, rest her head on my right shoulder and pats my back.

6. She loves cheese. A lot a lot.

7. She wears my shoes (including high heels) around the house.

8. She says “gurk” for milk, “ogg” for hot, “baby” for baby, “aaaaauuuuuu” for ouch.

9. She pinches her nose when we say “smelly!”

10. She holds up a tiny tub of Tiger Balm and pretends to put some on her finger and wipes it on her nose and takes a DEEP breath.

I can’t seem to remember all the things that I want to update you with. Will add on when I remember more.

Have a good day and I shall leave you with a picture of Thea!

  3. Jill says:

Hi Angel, no she’s not breastfed. She needs to be fed about 3-4 hours. I’m still trying to figure out why :S

  4. Jacqueline says:

Gill, you made it seems like Thea is like a Michelin. It is good that she still drinks milk. Evan does not drink milk at all. We have to prepare the milk for him so that the teachers in the childcare will make him drink. We even changed to his favourite flavour but he still does not want to drink. Sigh….
